MACEDONIA MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH OF EATONVILLE

Where love makes the difference!

The mission of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church is to evangelize mankind and develop Christian disciples through preaching and teaching the Word of God, that the mandate of the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ be fulfilled according to Matthew 28:19-20

Health Ministry
The mission of the Health Ministry of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church is to transform lives by elevating individuals to a harmonious state of health and wellness; mind, body, and spirit, as disciples of Jesus Christ through evangelism, health education, prevention programs, screenings, and health related services.

Established in January of 2007, the ministry is comprised of members of the congregation with various experiences and professions all sharing a passion for God, compassion for others, and a concern for health and wholeness.

Initiatives
The Health Ministry has championed efforts to raise awareness and has launched a multitude of health initiatives to include: healthy babies, caregiver assistance, flu vaccinations, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, cancer, diabetes, brain health, depression, substance abuse, nutrition, fitness, and weight loss. The ministry has also collaborated with various organizations within the community who share a vision to improve health such as: the March of Dimes, Shepherd’s Hope Clinic, Share the Care, Orange County Health Department, Florida Hospital, Orlando Regional Healthcare, Lutheran Counseling Services, Get Healthy Florida, Hebni Nutrition Consultants and an array of local churches.

With an emphasis on prevention and reducing health disparities among minorities, the ministry provides a variety of health screenings, seminars, health education, CPR certification courses, an annual health & wellness fair, blood drives, national bone marrow registry, and spiritual support.

An avid supporter of medical research, the ministry has also made significant contributions to the American Cancer Society and Diabetes Association through annual fundraising efforts and participation in the Relay for Life Walk, Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk and Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes.
